Optional analytics
The app asks before enabling anonymous usage analytics. Analytics is disabled until the player selects Share Anonymous Usage, and the player can disable it at any time from the shield icon on Home.
When enabled, Google Analytics for Firebase may process:
- a random app-instance identifier generated by Firebase;
- basic app and device information, such as app version, operating system, device category, and language;
- approximate geography inferred by Firebase from network information; and
- limited gameplay events, such as lobby creation, join success or failure, race start and outcome, rematch use, statistics views, and share-sheet result. Multi-round races also report the selected race mode, bounded round number, and whether the local player finished as champion, eliminated, or retired.
Race completion times are reported only as broad ranges. Player counts, positions, roles, and failure reasons use a fixed, low-cardinality set of values.
The app does not send Firebase a player nickname, persistent TextRace player token, room or session code, sentence, typed input, Bluetooth address or peer identifier, precise location, contacts, raw error text, exact completion time, or exact event timestamp supplied by the app. The app does not set a Firebase user ID and does not use analytics for advertising or cross-app tracking.
TextRace Pro purchases
TextRace Pro is an optional one-time purchase processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and RevenueCat. This processing is necessary to offer, complete, restore, and validate the purchase and is separate from the optional Firebase analytics choice.
RevenueCat may process an anonymous app-user identifier, store product and purchase history, receipt or purchase-token data, entitlement status, storefront, device and app information, locale and currency, and network information used to infer a broad region. RevenueCat is not given the player's nickname, TextRace player token, Firebase identifier, race content, Bluetooth peer information, or customer attributes. Purchase data is not used by TextRace for advertising or cross-app tracking.
The app has no account system. Restoring after reinstall uses the same Apple App Store or Google Play account and RevenueCat's anonymous transfer behavior. An Apple purchase does not unlock Android, and a Google Play purchase does not unlock iOS. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Choice and deletion
Declining analytics does not limit the game. Turning analytics off resets locally queued Firebase analytics data and stops further collection on that installation. It does not delete the player's nickname, local statistics, or other game data.
Google Analytics data for this project is configured for the shortest available event-data retention period: two months. Aggregated reporting may be retained as described by Google's policies. Google acts as the analytics service provider; see the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy documentation.
Local data
The nickname, local player identity, analytics choice, and lifetime statistics are stored only on the device. RevenueCat's SDK may cache purchase entitlement data on the device so an existing owner can use Pro while offline. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app removes TextRace's local data; store purchase history remains available to restore.
